Profile
Nancy Evans, of Sherborn, Massachusetts is a professional photographer, specializing in weddings, portraiture and assorted digital services including teaching, photo retouching and collage creations. Over 3 decades ago, her photographic journey began with a simple twin-lens reflex, black and white film, and the magic of the darkroom. During her college years, Ms. Evans seized the opportunity to expand her vision and refine her techniques, within an academic setting.
Traveling through the years, Ms. Evans has been adding to her portfolio. Darkroom assisting, course-taking, darkroom printing and just plain "living" have allowed a strong portfolio to develop along the way. The singularly most important event influencing Ms. Evans' life-long love of photography was the opportunity to live abroad during the late 80's.
Without exception, a region known as Auvergne, located in Central France offered exquisite landscapes inviting her photographic eye to capture this splendor.
Accompanied by her husband and young daughter, Ms. Evans traveled extensively adding more work to her portfolio. Auvergne Studios was created out of her commitment to pursue her dreams of owning her own company and combining her love of image-making. Ms. Evans' images depict the richness of nature using elements of form, texture, shading and color. Capturing the spirt of life, people, history and beauty lies deep within her images.

Nancy Evans uses a Canon 5D, a 20D and a D60 plus an array of portrait, wide-angle and telephoto lenses. She uses genuine Canon products, Flash equipment, Professional Printing equipment, Adobe Photoshop CS2 for photo-editing and profiling and calibrating techniques for her custom printing on an Epson Pro-printer.

Recently in the Payee Basque in the south of France, Nancy Evans finished work on a wedding there.
Auvergne Studios has been highlighted in the Boston Globe and other publications. Nancy Evans' photographs have received awards in various juried shows. One of her New England Collages is on display in Washington, DC in one of the Congressional offices.
Ms. Evans teaches Digital Photography and Photo-Editing to adults in Massacusetts with great reviews.
